Well I'm completely out of my comfort zone here, but Jane's asked me to say a few words, so here goes! At the Spring/Summer Launch in February we (as a team!) decided we'd be up on stage getting the award for Top Team Sales this Launch! And here we are! Doesn't that just show the power of goal setting!? It's really important to set goals, no matter how small and reward yourself when you achieve them. It gives you focus, motivates and helps you to push just that little bit more when you can see you are really close! It helps you move your business forward. Small goals lead to bigger goals! Now, not all of us are natural goal setters, so if you are not, don't worry, just ask your Leader for help! So, how have we got here today? Apart from setting that all important goal of course! Well, I have passion and excitement about the products, Mini IQ, where we are going and this business. This is infectious. Firstly, it rubs off at parties and people want to join you and secondly, it rubs off on your team. Our team meetings are great fun. There's loads of excitement about the team, this business and where we are all going. We have great attendance at our team meetings and workshops and I feel this is cos of the excitement and team spirit we are known for! Some think I'm mad – but I make things fun and hey, it works! Everyone does 'passion' and excitement in different ways, but I think it's a key part of this business - especially if you want to build a team and inspire others! Another thing I think is soooo important in this business is 'stickability'. Not sure if that's a word but let me explain! When you join this business it's important to jump in with both feet (that's the same whether you want to do 1 party a week or 3!) see it through a couple of seasons to see how it works for you and whether YOU are suited to this business. It's not to find out if this business works – COS IT DOES – there are millions of people in the world doing exactly what we do and who are successful and I personally don't believe that ANYONE fails in this business – they just give up – they don't have stickability! Training is the key. It's important to have as much training as your leader/the company offer to get you off to a great start, recover the cost of your kit asap, and start earning those all important pounds! And continued training too – sometimes things might not being going 100% so with help, you tweak a few things and get yourself back on track! I take training my team very seriously and do initial trainings, preview parties, workshops (with Jane's help!) and ongoing training. It's always possible to do more but I do try and do as much as possible to get them on the right track and give them confidence and focus for their business! [Next] |
