What is my secret to success? Perhaps not so much a secret. I think that unlocking the key to recruiting begins with the realisation that you don't need to know all the answers. You just need to know how and where to find them. Ask for help....eventually the more you recruit the more you'll know .. the easier it becomes! You also need to be consistent ..stay focused and talk to lots of people!

Sounds simple! How many of you are thinking - its alright for you? The truth is we all start out exactly the same. I recruited my first associate almost three years ago in my first few weeks almost by accident....she approached me at a toddler group and asked how I got started and how it worked? I thought she was asking for a party!!I think I went through a whole range of emotions in just a few minutes whilst talking to her - from complete panic to jumping up and down and waving my arms I was so excited! ( only in my head I hope!). I couldn't believe how easy it had been! It certainly wasn't because of what I knew at that stage!

Not only did Claire join me but I was so excited about starting my team I asked everyone I knew and before I knew it my neighbour had joined as well! That was it for me.I was hooked! I was SA by Christmas, Top Kats broke away after just 8 months and continued to grow as I continued to ask! It doesn't matter how many people say no - its inevitable some will. Talk to everyone....at parties, toddler groups, events , at the checkout or in the playground. Anywhere. When people say no...its nothing personal! Some will, some won't .....so what! You never know who is just around the corner..it could be an Amy, a Tracy or an Elaine!

When people do say no ....It doesn't mean it'll be a no forever though..I've kept in touch with customers and recruit leads from day one. My newest team member Claire has been to parties for the last two years. The time wasn't right for her before but I kept asking - and now is the right time and I'm really pleased to have her on board!

Don’t get in your own way! On average we have about 60 000 thoughts a day.. 95% are the same thoughts over and over again. And up to 85% of them are negative….the little voice telling you all the things that stop you in your tracks! Have faith in yourself.....believe you can do it and you will. Stop worrying what others might or might not say and just ask!
